Jim Whitaker — Central Command Center Fleet Administrator

(Longwood, Florida — March 4, 2004) Mr. Whitaker is our Central Command Center Fleet Administrator and is responsible for six different divisions. He comes to GMTC with over 35 years of ground zero field operation experience. The divisions he is responsible for is as follows:

• Helicopter Response Division: Mr. M. Powell
• Vehicles and Trailers Acquisition Division: Mr. J. Fox

Mr. Whitaker has developed a command structure that parallels our operational commitment. The alignment from his division is crucial to the overall success of our operation.

Mr. Whitaker and GMTC have designed the first integrated Black Box satellite GPS communication network for our emergency vehicles. These 50 sensors are placed throughout our vehicles and trailers and will send data to the black box. Every three minutes, this information is automatically downloaded to our server in the Central Command Center. The information is then analyzed to determine if the vehicle sensors are inside the operational parameters. If, however, the data is outside these operational parameters, the Fleet Communication Center (FCC) will contact our Fleet Maintenance Facility at ground zero to fix the problem. In most cases, the FCC will be aware of any problems prior to the crew and driver. The FCC will notify the commander of the unit of any possible problems so he can address the issue during the response. This system is very similar to the flight data recorder or “black box” located in an airplane.

The data transmitter, or “black box” that Mr. Whitaker and GMTC have designed will maintain the capabilities to monitor the crew's location at ground zero as well as while they are away from their vehicle helping constituents at ground zero.

This position is highly technical. Mr. Whitaker's years of experience and leadership will help guide the six divisions he is responsible for. We welcome Mr. Jim Whitaker to GMTC. Mr. Whitaker is married and is a Grandfather.
